I just got my start date for an agency can I purchase agency branded items?Updated 10 days ago

Question: I just received my start date for a government agency. Can I purchase agency-branded items now?

Answer: No. Receiving a start date or having an upcoming appointment with a government agency does not make an individual eligible to purchase agency-branded items.

FEDS Apparel will only transact with an individual after their official Entry on Duty (EOD) date has occurred. In other words, you must have officially entered duty and begun your employment with the applicable agency before you are eligible to purchase agency-branded items.

This requirement applies even if you have already accepted the position, completed the hiring process, received an official start date, or are currently employed by another government agency. If your EOD date with the new agency has not yet occurred, you are not eligible to purchase items branded for that agency.

Once you have officially reached your EOD date and are employed by the agency, you may purchase eligible agency-branded items through FEDS Apparel, subject to any other applicable purchasing requirements or restrictions.

Example: If you currently work for Agency A but have accepted a position with Agency B and your EOD date with Agency B is next month, you cannot purchase Agency B-branded items before that EOD date. You must wait until after you have officially entered duty with Agency B.
